Hey Craig, it is amazing how you seem to be able to write on issues that are prevalent in my life at any given time. As a 30 year old with a young family and a shambles of a career, this post is exactly what i have been thinking lately. it is great to read and draw motivation from it. I seem to be the king of complacency and procrastination and going nowhere fast. Thanks for a kick up the bum.
From Ben in Geelong

Hi Maxine,

too many people spend their life trying (sometimes in vain) to keep everyone except themselves happy.
It often ends in frustration and resentment. I'm not saying we should never do things to please others or make them happy but we can't spend our life ignoring our owns dreams, goals and happiness to keep others happy or to live the life that someone else believes we should be living.

I'm not talking about making sacrifices here (we all do that for loved ones)... I'm talking about letting others control, manipulate and use us.

That's the great thing about being a grown-up... we get to choose and create our own destiny!

Thanks for your question.

Hi Craig,

Love the site, especially the blogs. I too try to live a healthy lifestyle with positive thoughts and a can do attitude. It's amazing how many people are bogged down in negative thoughts, give up on themselves and leave everything to chance. Your tough love attitude is a lot more appealing than the softly softly approach of others and everything you say is realistic and totally true. I'm a massive fan of the blunt manner in which you write so keep up the great work!

Jane (melb)

I always get motivated by similar articles. But it doesn't last long. I used to be back, procrastinating things and end up to be more reactive.

However I'm determined this time to overcome it.

Joj

I am very curious in your #5. Are you saying that it is not important to seek the plaudits of others. Could you please explain?
