I just want to point out one thing that I think you are missing out on. The Law of Attraction only works if the other laws of the universe will allow (or support) what you are attracting yourself to. I am referring to all laws of science and nature (physics\motion\chemistry\nuclear physics\mechanics\quantum mechanics\chemistry\mathematics and the laws of humanity although these laws can actually be broken, jail time may result so it’s not recommended to try and break the laws that humans have set out.

Laws in our world we live in have been proven over and over and over. If you are attracted to something that’s in the realm of these scientific laws, then it is reachable, I don’t care what it is… As long as it doesn’t break any other law of the universe, it can be obtained through the Laws of Attraction. Keep this in mind when making statements about the law of attraction. Think about it, there are alot of laws of physics involved in a high speed sprinter breaking a world record. Down to how the muscle fibers are set up in the sprinters body. Merely by thinking that the LOA will do it for you… is actually crap and I agree. But that goes into being careful and choosing and thinking about things that are real… That’s the true power of the law of attraction… Not thinking about things that are not real.

When it comes to personal achievements through exercize and breaking world records. You have to work with the gift that has been given to you which is you. Now if that fat and lazy person had the necessary muscle fibers, and was just out of shape, then yes, the law of attraction would set up the scenario for this person to be motivated and within the laws of physics and energy… He would have to burn alot of energy in order to achieve his goal of becoming as fast as he possibly can be… As long as he attracted himself to beating his previous time, he would continue training and make it happen… Eventually he would peak to the fastest he could possibly be… The law of attraction merely attracted him to the idea of being a high speed sprinter… He did the rest on his own… But this goes into the fact that he created it in his mind firs…. Then he lived it out. There fore the law of attraction worked. He brought out a dream or a wish, made it happen and used the universe to help him out.

A 100 meter speed record for his age group is something real and achievable. He still has to get off his ass and put hard work into it. But as long as he keeps attracted to his goal, he won’t get distracted. And he will achieve it. That’s the point of the law of attraction.

Now keeping the ideas in your head attracted to thoughts of real stuff that can actually happen, you will find a way to make it happen as long as what you are trying to accomplish is realistic and can actually happen. Otherwise, it’s not the fault of the law of attraction, it’s the other laws that are letting you down and not allowing it to happen. So keep your thoughts and Ideas real and keep focused while staying attracted to the end result and you will find a way to make it happen, when things line up around you that will allow it to happen, you will have already programmed your brain and all your senses to know that it is the right time to act in order to achieve your most inner dreams…

if you are attracted to the Idea that the law of attraction is “crap” then you’ll find ways to prove that it’s crap.

Try this instead.

Think of the law of attraction as a law that only works if the statements (thoughts) outlined in the Idea you are trying to bring about can actually be proved by the other laws of our universe. I am referring to the laws of physics, the laws of nature and the laws of science down to everything that has been proven in modern technology. If you are trying to attract yourself to something that can not be proven to happen by these other laws, then it is that specific law that is not allowing it to happen, not the law of attraction. You need to choose the things you are attracted to that are real and can really take place in the world otherwise, it won’t work.

You are the one that makes things happen, the universe will just present the proper time for you to act on it… Nothing happens on it’s own. The universe will continue to present itself to you, and if you are too blind to see the opportunity, then you will never achieve anything, all you have to do is watch and react… know how to react at the right times and you can achieve your goals. Therefore proving the Laws of attraction are true.

Interesting post but I don’t agree with it I’m afraid! Taking action is a part of the LOA but it was completely overlooked in “The Secret”. The thinking aspect is important as people need more beneficial ways of thinking along with the taking action to increase their results of their efforts, eg to quote Kelvinkao

“All men think about sex.
Some men aren’t getting laid.”

How they think about sex is important and the fact is most people are focussed on not having any so they don’t get any!

LOA isn’t the only natural law and there are no short-cuts in any of them. You have to put something in to get something out, you have to give to receive.

Personally I believe the understanding of natural laws becomes greater with ascension, unfortunately most people will not try and rise up for deeper understanding but will bring the understanding down to their level.

But it’s fine, each to their own after all.

NONE of the LOA advocates I have met (I can only speak from my experience) have a FOCUS on action.. their key, if not sole emphasis is on thinking things into existence.

The following is from one of the numerous LOA sites: The LOA states “you get what you think about; your THOUGHTS determine your destiny.”

Here’s my spin on things, the bible says faith without action is dead…or something like that. So true but how about action without faith. DEAD.

The Law of Attraction is not really it’s own free standing law of operation. It is a facet, if you will, of a myriad of energies to come into play to create anything, anything at all. If I think about being a rock star, fantasize about it day in and day out, but during my waking life choose to belittle myself or speak of a world where the little guy just can’t get ahead…well that’s action (if you count fantasy as the action) without faith. DEAD. IT takes action, undying perseverance and an unwavering faith that you are going to be a rock star. There is nothing no one cannot achieve if they have these three attributes. Ask anyone truly at the top of the echelon of their game and they will tell this is how they got there.

As for people in the Sudan, the mistake we consistently make when grappling with such issues is not realizing the fact that those people and you and me are not really separate. Everything you are aware of in your world is merely a reflection of what is inside of you. We are all One being pretending to be billions and zillions if you count all living things out there (which I do.)

It’s an illusion, scarcity, poverty, suffering, but a very painful illusion none the less. That’s where the real questioning should begin. How can we all be connected yet so separate at the same time? Of course this is my own philosophy, that we are actually all One being caught within an illusion of separation.
