G’day Groovers… hope you’re all having a great week and “being the change that you want to see in your world” (Gandhi).
A couple of Sundays ago we ran our Melbourne RYL (Renovate Your Life) Workshop at my Brighton centre (lovingly referred to as the Harperdome) and much learning, frivolity and fun was had by all. This time I only offended half of the crowd which is a personal milestone for me. My therapist was so delighted. Go me. Unfortunately, I’ve been a little slow off the mark organising this post to share a few photos, thoughts and nice words from some of the attendees.
To you folk who came along, it was great to meet you and I hope that all of the information, ideas and strategies have become much more than mere ‘theory’ in your life. For those of you who attended I would love to hear how your life (attitudes, habits, behaviours, outcomes, relationships) has started to change over the last week and a half. Click on the comment thingy and spill yer guts.
And to the constant stream of people who email the Bald Man enquiring about when we might bring a program to your city, we are currently organising a schedule of workshops to be run around the country. Our plan is to visit most Australian capitals within the next few months. Being as Johnnie and I have the organisational skills of seven year-olds, we have partnered with Lloyd Events from Perth to make this a possibility. The very lovely Vive (pronounced Vee-ve) has taken Dumb and Dumber under her wing to help us make a national tour a reality. Not only is Vive considerably more talented and responsible than us two, but she also smells way better than Johnnie. So her addition to our team has been a breath of fresh air. Literally. Thanks Vive (that’s her in the photo below with Johnnie).
Thanks
To the people who flew in from all around the country (about forty of you) thanks for making the effort and sharing your weekend with us. To my helperouterers for the day; Rona, Fi, Jan and Mikey – you guys are ace. To my happy snapper (photographer) Linda, a big hug to you and to the Bald Man… you know.
So I thought we’d put up a few pics from the day and share some of the nice words we received from our group via email. You can see a bunch more photos from the day here.
We will have the workshop dates for the various cities up on the site within the next week or so. It looks like Perth will be first cab off the rank (early September) with the rest of the capitals to follow. As you can imagine there’s a bunch of stuff to organise but all I can say is thank goodness for Johnnie and Vive.
Some feedback…
Good Morning Gents, I would like to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU… I have not stopped thinking about how wonderful and inspiring and great the RYL course was yesterday. Craig…. I don’t want to blow your trumpet.. but you leave me no choice, I have never ever in my life considered sitting on my arse for 9 hours to listen to someone speak all day. I never thought it was possible to stay alert for that long !!!! My goodness, I have never felt so alive, the way you present, speak, your humour and everything in between made for one of the best days I have had in so long.. ! I truly cannot believe how much I got out of this and will be making some huge life changing decisions in my life. When I left I bought the Harper’s food and training diary and will be getting back into my serious training and eating clean to the point where I get my best body back and am living the best life! I haven’t laughed so much in a long time and you must be so proud to have the ability to be able to make people feel so good! You are an inspiration and your staff were all so helpful! You would be a dream to work for…. So thanks and I will be in touch shortly! You guys ROCK!

Just wanted to thankyou for an awesome day. Lots to think about, reflect upon and put into motion. You are “AMAZING” – personified. Keep up the great work, you are an inspiration.

Hi Craig,
Have to give you some RYL feedback. Great adventure yesterday thank you from me, I reckon I am well on my way to a fulfilled life and yesterday, RYL really assisted in maintaining focus and momentum. Your straight shooter approach is the only way to go, love it! Over all, your workshop was everything you promised, “poked, prodded, challenged, educated, motivated and possibly offended” as well as entertained, enlightened and encouraged. A very warm and fuzzy atmosphere, I was well fed and as an audience member made to feel comfortable and welcome.
As for my daughter she loved it BIG TIME! Next time I will book 6 tickets, for my three kids and their partners! I would love to give them this as a gift.
Thanks mate, all the best to you and Co for a great day.
Regards,
Roy Barker
Hi Craig
Firstly Ian and I want to thank not only you but also John, Jan, Rona and Fi for making the workshop on Sunday such an enjoyable event for all involved. You have a great team there at Harpers. We have come away from the workshop with many questions to consider in regards to our current life style and commitments.
Thanks

Thanks Craig for a fantastic day, You were as inspirational and funny as ever. It was just the kick up the butt I needed.
Dee
Thanks for yesterday, lots of stuff to digest. I enjoyed listening, laughing, thinking and changing!
Cheers Andy
Hey Craig,
We attended your RYL workshop yesterday and it was every bit as good as we hoped it would be. How do you do that without notes? We have lots of things to think about and work on in our lives.
Big hug and thank you from Kathleen and Dr. Kim
Craig,
Thanks for a great day on Sunday. It was a fantastic reminder about focus, clarity and drive. I also liked the whole life balance /money/stress stuff. What struck me was your comments about surrounding yourself with people who support you and lift you up. It really rang true when we got to meet and chat to the harpers team. Thanks to john and all the people who help make the RYL seminar happen.
Cheers,
Anton
Now that the bruising on my ass has subsided (too many kicks) and I’m back behind the computer, just wanted to thank you for an awesome day on Sunday. It was all you promised it to be – funny, inspiring, thought provoking and more… And to be with so many like minded people – some I hope to keep in contact with. I’m working on my goals and feel more determined than ever to make positive changes in my life. Signed up for piano lessons yesterday – strange I know – but something I’ve talked about doing for the past 20 years. So look out for my recitals!!!! Thanks Craig.
Janine
Hi Craig! I want to say thank you for yesterday. Thank you for letting me be apart of such an amazing day. You did a fantastic job and I had a great time. I revisited lots of the workshop booklet while on the plane yesterday and I’ve done up my goal sheet today. I’m so ready for more amazing! Have a great week!

Hear, Hear!!
Yes it was amazing and my light bulb moment was as big as the ones they use for the MCG
Thanks

Hi there Craig & John,
Just wanted to thank you for a sensational day last week at Renovate Your Life! Apart from the fact that my head felt like it just might explode (just kidding) the day for me was about exploring, reviewing, being open to a new approach and seeing what came from that. The result was a great sense of validation, greater clarity and more direction in some particular areas (wwwwooooooohhhhooooo). I did love the goals chart too- its going straight to the office (with a few modifications, like specifics in the areas I’m looking to strengthen)
Apart from all of that I haven’t had as good a belly laugh in any training EVER!!!!! That Craig is a bloody funny man!
I look forward to catching up with you again soon,
Cheers
Marita

I’m glad it went so well, Craig.
Really pleased to see you’re taking it across country. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it down to the workshop a couple weeks ago, but I now have the funds in place for a 12 month backpacking trip across your fine land. As long as you give us dandy backpackers a break with a nice price, you might get to see my ugly mug in the audience.
Jamie
Hi Craig.
I Look forward to seeing you in Sydney!
Carly
Hi Craig,
Was so disappointed that due to my lack of work, I was unable to afford to attend the workshop. Maybe next time now that I have now got a job.
I am glad it went well.
Michelle

Penster
It sounds fantastic Craig, you must be so stoked at all the wonderful comments.
I hope you come to NZ one day, I would make the trip to wherever I needed to go to see you (just not Aus, sorry!).
Sus
P.S. You’re looking good in those photos! Can I say that? lol
Jamiester, if you make it to the land down under I will let you do an RYL program for nothing.
Kinda guy I am.
Hi Pen… We’ll be in Bahrain just after our Iceland gig.
( )
Hope you’re enjoying your new home. What are you doing there? What’s it like?
Thanks Sus – the photos have been doctored. I actually weigh 400 lbs.
I would love to come to NZ for a workshop… but would NZ love me?
It might just be you and me Sus!
After two weeks of being offline due to our move I’m finally back online in time to see this post.
Boy what a day it was. For me, it was a real eye opener. And let me tell you I had doms for three days afterwards. LOL!!
I’ll be in touch.

Hi Craig,
Yes, it was an amazing exhausting day. Sooo much information. I was inspired, challenged, & sent home with alot of homework!!
Its funny how certain things sound like they are being said in maximum volume. I am sure Craig was turning the volume up & down. But “Non-Negotiable Time” really made me think. Also, writing a mission statement for myself!! Oh my god!! I have written so many Mission Statements for various companies around the world but never written one for myself. I am still trying to get that one done….. many drafts.
I was paired up with an accountability partner (The Inspirational Dee, thank you) who has continued to help me stay focused. We have committed to each other for as long as it takes.
My goal is now a Duatholon & Dee’s is a Triathalon. So we are motivating each other on our challenging paths to achieving this. That doesnt just mean physically but also with the challenges in our day to day lives.
Thank you to the fun, energetic team at Harpers. Your smiles are infectious.
Love to you all,
Shelley
Hey CH
I will look forward to your future date for Adelaide-dont forget about us
P.S Please tell me about the towel training pic
Thank you
Hi Craig,
Alot been happening so havent had the chance to get on and say thanks for a wonderfully entertaining, feel-good day. It came in the middle of a fairly stressful time for me so I found it more affirming of things I already believe and a welcome relief actually! Love that energy and truly love your humour and ‘direct’ approach…..you’re just a star!
