Craig...just wanted you to know that you are my hero! I've encouraged friends around Australia & the globe to subscribe to the best blog out there (your blog) and get a good Aussie dose of honesty to rock their socks....and you do that every time. Just love it! Keep up the great work (mainly because my day just isn't the same without my morning dose of reality from you)
Kaz from Byron Bay

I'm with Jules, as a shift worker I find it really hard to know what to eat when and also the exercise thing. Is it worth exercising after night shift before I go to bed - am I too exhausted for it to be worthwhile? An article on this would be fabulous. I've had people telling me I just need to get another job, but that won't solve everything, there will still be someone who needs to do shift work. Hospitals are a 24/7 business!

Is your 9am segment pre-recorded or live-to-air?

Speaking of article ideas: Do you have any strategies for shift workers/emergency service personnel re: 'diet'/exercise/sleep? To eat or not to eat throughout night shifts? My circadian rhythms are all shaken up.

Jules

Hello from storm ravaged Brisbane,

I have power back on so yes, I will try to catch you on Ten. I could do with a few more reminders about optimal health at present.

Don't know if it got reported down south, but this little part of the world (suburban Brissy) has just been through a massive storm (mini-cyclone) and basically turned into a disaster zone overnight.

Sure turns 'normal' upsidedown.

I keep remembering however to 'find the good' and strangely I/we have been able to do just that. People who don't normally stop to talk have been hugging/comforting/ worrying about each other. Friendships are growing.
We really are a resilient lot (us humans).
I have been inspired by the people in my community who have managed to stay not so serious and to cheer everyone else along, while still getting the job of cleaning up and getting back to normal on the agenda.

It is always a boon to check in and read craig harper dot com as well, to be further inspired and today, to have a good laugh.

Well, better get near the tele -
Have a great weekend, Craig - look forward to the beer marathon footage next week.

cheers,
Monica PS Thanks for listening to my venting above, - I am hugely grateful not to have had any real damage to my home or family. Others around us not so lucky.
PPS Is there an article in this event somewhere - maybe "overcoming the unexpected !!" or similar. See ya... hope you can write one soon. Hugs, M
