Future You

The Evolution of You

Do you ever wonder about future you? What you’ll be like? Not necessarily you in the distant future (thirty years), but you in maybe a year or two? Do you think about how your life will be different? Or, if it will be different at all? Maybe a better question is: do you want it to be different? If so, different how? And how much do you want the change? And which part of your life? Some of it? Most of it? All of it? What exactly is your desired different? Maybe, your body? Your physical, mental and emotional health? Maybe your life is fine (overall) but in the middle of it all, you need a little reprogramming? Or not? In the future, do you want to look, feel and function like you do now? If not, how do you want to be different? And how will that transformation happen? Are you prepared to do what’s required to make those changes or is it just a nice idea? A wish-list?

The Other Stuff

And what about the career thing? Same career or different? Is money the over-riding priority? Or is it more about enjoyment, purpose and passion? Maybe a little of each? What about your day-to-day habits? Which of your current ones will be discarded? Or better yet, which ones need to be discarded? And what new ones will you develop? After all, better habits produce better results, right? And then there’s your relationships? How are they tracking? Any change required there? Are they healthy or are they in need of a little… er, work? Or, maybe something slightly more terminal? Just saying. And what about the cerebral circus that is, your mind? What’s it like in there on a typical day? Kind of noisy? Too noisy perhaps? Maybe it’s time for a cognitive overhaul? Perhaps something a little calmer, quieter and less stressful might be the go?

Anyway, they’re all good questions aren’t they?

Now, all present you needs to do is come up with some good answers. :)

Hi Guys. Sorry I’ve been a little absent lately. Been a busy boy. I’m gonna take a break from writing between now and the second week of January to recharge and re-focus. I have some big plans for me-dot-com in 2012 and it’s fair to say that it will be a very different site with a lot of new and exciting content, projects and group participation. I will be announcing a massive project for 2012 before the end of January and I’m sure this particular feel-good endeavour will gain national, if not international, attention and support. And lots of interest from you. I’m pumped.

Anyway, have a fantastic break, be safe, thanks for being a part of our cyber-community and I look forward to connecting with you soon.

Craig xx

Great questions indeed. I had a friend who used to say “set a benchmark and then reset that benchmark. The true challenge is from you to yourself” … took me a while to get it but now I realise what a clever guy he was. Time to ponder.

…as for the other bit. Very intriguing !

Goodness I have not been on your blog for months and months and you are still with the same old mantra ;) . Seriously, but, thanks again for lots of good advice. 2012 is a year of change with no resolutions but to continue with the changes going on. I hope all the people who used to post on here, or still do, are ok and have attained some goals. The goal I attained this year was to live what other’s think of me is not my business, which was and still is challenging but getting there. Have a great new year. M

All great questions Craig…..It’s good to think about these and come to a conclusion on a couple of these at a time, then do something about it….Then when you are ready, move on to the next round of thinking…. and by the time you think your done, you could easily start again where you began!! Is that called constant self-assessment?

Have a great Christmas and all the best for 2012.

Thanks for the great post!

I recently read a new book by Mary Anne Dorward called Words to Thrive By: Powerful stories of courage and hope and your post reminds me of it on a lot of different points. I’ve included a link to her website and blog for your review I think you and her will enjoy discussing the points that you’ve made as well as reading through some of her blog’s on similar subject matter.
