Hi Guys.
Hope you had a great weekend, especially you gorgeous mums (moms). I also hope there was a little pampering to be enjoyed and that you all had a great Mother’s Day. Today’s post is of the Audio variety and in it I explore why so many of us invest so much time and energy into our exercise programs for so little in the way of (positive) results… and what we can do to create a better outcome (of course).
A Little News for Budding Authors…
Wanna write your first book? A good friend of mine and accomplished author, Andrew Jobling, is running a two-part workshop on that very subject commencing this Thursday (May 14) at the Harperdome (my centre) in Brighton. If you’re interesting in finding out more or booking a place click here.

Hi Craig,
Love it!!!!! I will listen to whatever form you use but I much prefer this type of thing to the read out loud ones.
I am sitting here feeling pretty darn good about myself at the moment and looking forward to getting into my exercise program again. I completed the Mother’s Day Classic 8km walk today (ok writing this Sunday night) I did the first 4km in 51.45 mins and completed the whole 8km in 1hr 40 mins. I am so proud of myself but OMG I am in agony lol and I am sure going to feel it tomorrow lol.
I hope you are ok….heard you were sick
so missed you on the radio.
ooh 18 sleeps to go!!!!!!!(ok will be 17 on Monday)
Hugs
Chelle xxxx
How are you going Craig? My thoughts are with you and your friends wife, I cried so much when I read your last post and I thought of her with mothers day yesterday as I went for the Mothers day walk in Brisbane.(()) This is a Huge hug for you both.
Love TinaQ
Am interested in Andrew’s ‘your first book’ workshop. Thanks.
On the exercise thing, the key is to challenge ourseves but to also think what is realistic.
Any plans on doing some posts on professional development? (I’m not even sure what I’d want you to discuss!). Work/life balance thing? Dangers of getting married to our work. Dangers of work-related stress. * Don’t assume I would be suggesting that I need any assistance with any of above ‘issues’
Keep well, Mr Harper.

Great job Craig. Definately better than having you read it. Love both the written and the audio posts though so I think a mix of both is great.
Spent mothers day with DH’s mum and his other brother at Traralgon. Boy I wanted to come home after about 1/2hr. Such miserable/negative people and there is an excuse for everything. Don’t think I will be going back there in a hurry. I ended up sneaking out and going to the shops becoz it was too much for me.
With my exercise, I am happy with my program but have to remember to push myself out of my comfort zone and work harder. Not used to being red/sweaty and it is something I am pushing through. My cute boy trainer always puts a note on my card ‘to work out of my comfort zone’. So funny.
hugs

Hi Craig,
Is there anyway to make it smaller? I haven’t listened yet because it is going to take 20 mins to download… (yes I have broadband).
Jo
Hello, Craig Anthony Harper. Enjoyed the audio post today, even though the subject isn’t something I struggle with. I guess I’m one of the “lucky” ones that know what works for me and get good results with consistency and perseverance. (Although I’d argue strongly that luck has nothing to do with it!)
Anyway, just wanted to say that the chatty variety of audio post (as opposed to the sit-and-read one), works a treat. It’s warm, friendly and really does feel like you’re sitting here, having a cuppa with me! Oh, and you have a lovely, easy-to-listen-to voice too .. which is kinda good, since some of us are about to hear it for a whole weekend!
So, good job, champ. Keep up the great work. And keep being the change that you want to see in YOUR life!

Hi Craig,
I got some very valuable information from this and I enjoyed the audio post. I used to print some of your articles out and read them on the bus or while waiting for an audition – now I can also kick back and listen before bed.
From this post I’ve realised a few things about myself that I need to work on, so thank you.
Big hug ()

Hi Craig,
Well done on the audio post. It sounds heaps more natural then just reading it.
I downloaded it and took it on my walk tonight. Consequently I pushed myself that little bit harder.
I have become a real fan of the written posts, but I think a combination is perfect!
Keep up the good work!
Cheers
Mary (Melb)
