Hey Team.
Every day I get a bunch of emails asking me the same, if not similar questions about food.
So rather than sitting down for three hours at the trusty lap-top and cranking out a two or three thousand word post… the bald bloke and I thought we’d take the lazy option today and go for the video post.
Talking is soooo much easier and faster than writing.
And no typos.
Mmm…
Maybe I should do the video option every day…
Or not.
It’s in two parts.. total running time is about twenty minutes.
Get your pen and paper ready; today you can do the writing!
See ya.

Thanks Craig, for these informative and practical videos on nutrition. I visit your site every day looking for something new. Thanks for your ongoing motivation.

Good list!.The most important point for me was the ‘dont starve’ rule. During the 20+ yrs of dieting i always felt i had to starve myself to lose the weight which will eventually come back anyway. Skinny friends always tell me it’s about will power which i think is BS. I don’t understand why is it that an obese person can go a week without any food or 6 weeks on a liquid diet with 2hr workouts yet cannot follow a sensible eating/exercise plan for more than 2 wks? I have done this for years & seen other people make the same mistake & it achieves nothing in the end (except to make u fatter & more miserable). But after yrs of doing this i have finally broken the starvation weightloss cycle. How did i do this? I went on a month long diet of nothing but 2 protein shakes a day. After 4 wks of this i started to panic as i hadn’t seen a toilet in awhile (i was beginning to forget how to actually use one). Well being desperate i made a trip to the chemist. When the pharmasist mentioned with word ’suppository’ i was out of there. I ran home to a bowl of broccoli & some baked beans. Never again. It took an extreme case of constipation to cure me of the all of nothing attitude. I have actually found that i lose more weight quickly and easily by eating then i ever did with all the starvation but it does take awhile to get over the guilt that u need to eat in order to lose the weight & that it is okay to eat in public even if others think fat people shouldn’t be eating.

Thanks Craig. I know you are right but I am guilty of rewarding my children with candy. This is something I seriously need to stop.
Having found you recently you are now my favourite blog.

Dear Craig, just found you on YouTube. Your video message certainly resonated with me. It is so simple, thorough, and concise. A big hello from Tel-Aviv.

I hope they continue to.

HEHE. Laughed my head off! The poor guy behind the camera. Hope you are paying him a lot.

Hi Mike,
the guy behind the camera?
Clearly has too much fun and gets paid too much money.
Hi Anneliese,
stop lurking and start communicating.
I write to you, it’s only reasonable that you write back!
Glad you said hi.
Hey Craig,
Great videos!
I was sent the below link to a site that refers to blood types and good and bad foods for each blood type. What is your thoughts on this eating concept??

Craig —
You have absolutely lost your mind! You are crazy.
I can’t wait to meet you –
Loved the great commonsense tips and laughed so hard my cheeks are still hurting.

PS I think the pink, fluffy stuff to which you referred (What did you call it?) is what we call cotton candy.
Hey Craig so glad i found you online, you are an inspiration to us all!
A few years ago i was certified through Harpers before moving to NYC where i have been doing personal training for the past 3 years here.
Fairy floss = Cotton Candy over here…
Teaching any seminars in NYC in the near future?
Till then your blogs are great, and it’s good to hear the aussie accent on your video blogs… keep them coming!
Hey Slinky,
(1) Where do you work in NYC?
(2) No NYC seminars any time soon… you put one together, I’ll come and do it!
Take care and thanks for visiting.
HI Craig,
Loved watching your videos – great way to take a 10 min break at lunchtime. Here in sunny SA the pink stuff is call Candy Floss

Hi Craig
I have just watched both your videos on food and I pretty much follow all that you have said and have managed to lose 24kg in the past 7 months, with 24kg still to go. I already had low-ish blood pressure, and good sugar levels, but my cholesterol has come down now as well.
I follow my own eating plan based somewhat on a popular advertised commercial one (mostly for guidance and structure) and I write everything down. I call it my “healthy diet” as it certainly wasn’t before!! Lots of vegetables, some fruit, low fat proteins, water and one “treat” meal a week – and it works!! It truly has to be something that you can do for the rest of your life – no fad diets! Night time eating can still be an issue, but I am getting there!!
And the most important thing – sorting out what is going on in your head!! (That emotional eating is a killer.) I just take it one day at a time.
I also walk a lot – I just need to get going with the targetted muscle building exercises. Soon….
So for anyone reading this – the No Diet Diet is the way to go.
