G’day from Johnnie.

Hello Team.

It’s the Bald Man here (Johnnie).
It’s taken a year but here it is; my blogging debut.
Kind of.
More an update than a post of any description.
Finally, the attention-seeking, only-child (Craig) has taken my hand-cuffs off and let me loose on the keyboard.
About time.
The big fella is pretty busy today talking to fat business types (as he puts it) and so I have decided to take matters into my own hands and to update you all on a few things.
It could be my last day at the Harperdome.
I don’t care.
He doesn’t pay me enough anyway.

A Few Things:
1. To our surprise, we seem to have an ever-increasing number of enquiries from people (maybe ten a week) regarding the possibility of consulting with Craig by phone; body stuff, head stuff, goal-setting stuff, creating your best life stuff – all that normal Personal Development ‘Craig’ stuff.
Obviously this is only something that he can do in a very limited capacity but the answer is yes, when he’s available.
So, if you are interested or have any questions, you can contact me (Johnnie) on (+61 3) 9553 8857 or email me at: john at craigharper dot com dot au.
I will warn you, it’s kind of expensive and he’s kind of bossy (in a nice way).
If you’re not serious about changing, then this is probably not a good idea for you.

2. We are considering running a two-day (weekend), live-in ‘Renovate Your Life’ camp to make the six-week, once-a-week program more viable for our interstate and even international visitors. It’s only a thought at this stage. If there’s enough interest, we’ll do it, if not, we’ll shelve it. The weekend would probably be somewhere around the $600 mark, including the program, meals and accommodation and Craig’s very ordinary jokes. Let us know if you’re (seriously) interested.

3. Yes, I finished the marathon. Didn’t do the time I wanted however. The Chief has been telling me that I’m too heavy to run a fast time. I hate it when he’s right. Annoying really. I weighed myself after the marathon and I weighed 88kgs (about 195lbs)!!! No wonder it took me over four hours and hurt a lot!!! I will do it again next year minus 8kgs (18lbs) – hopefully that will get me closer to my goal of sub 3:30. I think I will be hungry and grumpy for a few months. Thanks for all your support.

The Big Bloke will be back tomorrow to share the love.

Enjoy your day / night.
Johnnie.

The beginning actually looks much like Craig’s writing! I get you catch each other’s habits.

I’m glad to see that the only child let you off your leash so to speak. He can only manopolise the spot light for so long you know. LOL!! It’s great to see you blog, should happen more often if you ask me. ;o)

As for the weekend I’d definitely be interested. You have my email so please keep me up to speed with this idea. Here’s hoping it doesn’t get shelved.

Kind Regards,

Yeah!!! I would fly in for the renovate weekend.

The Bald Man October 10, 2007 at 10:02 pm

Hi Kelvin. That’s what happens when you spend a year reading every single word that a person writes (ten times over). I’m the designated proof reader.

Craig has a few habits I don’t want.
I’ll leave it at that!

The bald man October 10, 2007 at 10:09 pm

Hi Lia.
Don’t like my chances of blogging too often!!
I think the weekend will happen.
I’ll keep you posted.

Best wishes,

Johnnie.

See you at the gym.

the Bald man October 10, 2007 at 10:12 pm

Hi Amanda. My legs don’t think I’m a champion!

Best wishes.

the bald man October 10, 2007 at 10:13 pm

Hi Anonymos.

Where would you fly from?

Craig Harper October 10, 2007 at 10:20 pm

So what’s the go with this ‘Bald Man love-in’? Don’t be gettin’ all cocky on me there baldy…

Love you Johnnie!!!

Nice debut post.

Tami October 11, 2007 at 12:56 am

G’day Johnnie….

Very excellent post…
So glad I could witness your debut!

Wow… the weekend Renovate sounds great!(that rhymed, did ya notice?)
Any idea how much a US (Atlanta) flight is to fair Melbourne?
I’ll look into it… sounds interesting…..
Keep me posted!

Remember: it’s not the speed that makes you a champion… it’s crossing the finish line!

Don’t listen to Craig… get cocky…
The “fans” love it!

Jen from Mildura October 11, 2007 at 7:17 am

hey Johnnie….Yeh!! Nice to read you…can we see you some day too?
I’d also travel – flying may not be the right way – for a weekend renovate! depends on where it is and how far I’d have to travel!

Johnnie

You’ve just inspired me to start running. Having lost around 12kg in the last few months down to 90kg i always think i’m too heavy to start running and am always waiting until i get down to that magical number but it ain’t gonna happen is it. But if you and Oprah can do it god damn it so can I.

Why a marathon? Was it a desire or did you start running to lose weight? Is the end worth it? Is it like during child birth where you swear you’ll never go through it again but after it’s over you can’t wait to go through the whole thing again?

By the way Johnnie, you have the most beautiful hand i’ve ever seen.

I may be interested in the weekend camp but Craig kinda scares me. Think about it, Craig gets us away out there in the middle of nowhere who knows what he is capable of doing to us. We may never see our families again.

Hi Michelle.

Thanks.
I don’t know that you’re ready to see me!

Enjoy your day.

Johnnie October 11, 2007 at 10:30 am

Hi Jen.

I’ll save you a spot too.

Can you see me?.. no time soon!

I’m very shy.

Cheers.

Johnnie October 11, 2007 at 10:33 am

Hi Ange. You can do it!
Don’t be scared of Craig.
He’s the master of tough-love but he’s fun to be around.

He’s a big softy under that hard-core exterior – don’t tell him I said that.

Shall I save you a place?

Anonymous October 11, 2007 at 2:47 pm

I guess but it really depends on when it is and also how much ‘forced Craig time’ there is.

Janine October 12, 2007 at 8:31 pm

Hey Johnnie and Craig

So, Johnnie, did you drop those 8kg or not for the Melb Marathon 2008??? If not WHY NOT??

Will regular craig-dot-com commenters get a discount for the inaugral two day live in RYL in 2009? Regular = commenting on 3 or more posts per week for ummm 2+ months!!!!

Will be in touch soon to organise 1:1 tough love. I’m serious about change and creating my best life.

Jules
